Honda file

The second-generation XLR250R (MD20) replaced the 1985 model after less than two years with a reworked 249 cc RFVC single using a longer stroke, an 18-inch rear wheel in place of the 17, a smaller 9-litre tank and a little less weight. It was a Japan-market trail bike built around the XR250R off-roader, with lights, mirrors, knuckle guards and a lockable tail bag for road use, while the rear brake stayed a drum. Some were brought into the USA as grey imports.
